3M 8233 Features:
• High quality respirator for welding and other metal fume environments.
• Compatible with welding hoods, face shields and safety glasses.
• Well suited for those who want NIOSH's highest rated filtration efficiency in a maintenance free respirator.
• 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve, comfortable faceseal, adjustable straps, and lightweight construction.
• Respirators are individually packaged.
This respirator is an excellent choice for lead abatement, pharmaceutical manufacturing, welding, metal pouring and work involving OSHA substance specific particle exposures in concentrations up to 10 x the OSHA PEL, excluding asbestos.
How Respirators are rated:
N = Not resistant to oil
R = Resistant to oil
P = Oil Proof
95 = Filters 95% of particles 0.3 microns in diameter or larger
99 = Filters 99% of particles 0.3 microns or larger
100 = Filters 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger
For Disease Prevention, the CDC recommends N95 ratings or higher
